Circle Time with Pastor Allison
(Wednesday "Noon-day" Prayer)
Every Wednesday, at 12:00 pm, Pastor Pauletta Allison hosts a prayer service at Crossing Over Ministries in the main sanctuary. Food will be served at the conclusion of service. The community is invited and encouraged to attend. Come nourish your body, mind and soul as Pastor Allison uses her gift of prayer to petition the Lord on behalf of the city of Los Angeles and provide deliverance to those desiring to be set free of strongholds, addictions, and past hurt that continues to bind them. Come out on Wednesday at noon to meet and pray with our pastor. You're life will never be the same!
Men's Fishing Trip
November 2016
The Crossing Over Men's Ministry will be hosting a men's fishing trip at the end of the month. All fishing will take place on a fishing charter (boat) that will sail from the Long Beach harbor at 6:30am and return to the harbor at 4:30am. Anthony Scales (in the picture below) leads the men's ministry and is the person of contact for this outing. All men interested in attending this event are encouraged to meet with Bro. Scales after Sunday Morning Worship. It's going to be a blast. Good fellowship
Chili Cookoff Contest Results
October 2016
On October 30, 2016, COM hosted its first annual cookoff. The dish the contestants were required to make this year was chili. Contestants were divided into teams representing the respective ministries they were a part of and the chili was judged by anonymous ballots cast by church members and guests who were in attendance.
There were a total of five contest entries labeled A - E. Each entry was served with a complementary side such as rice, crackers, french fries and cornbread. After all ballots were cast, there was tie for first place between entries B and C. Entry B, a hearty, robust and meaty chili, was submitted on behalf of the Men's Department by Pastor Rob and Bro. Anthony Scales served with complementary french fries. Entry C, a tasty, flavorful, more saucy chili, was was submitted by Sis. Brandi Scales served with rice and Brandi's signiature jalepeno cornbread.
Crossing Over Ministries would like to congratulate the winners and thank all of the contestants (Pastor Allison, Sis Princetta, Sis Ty) who participated in this event. We would also like to thank those who were in attendance and helped judge the contest. Last, but certainly not least, we would like to send special thank to Sis Ty who planned and coordinated the event.

Christmas Play "Jesus v. Saint Nick"
December 2016
COM will host a Christmas Play on December 10, 2016. The play will take place at Crossing Over Ministries in the main sanctuary. The curtain will go up at 6:30pm sharp! Seating is limited, so all those planning to be in attendance are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat. This a family play suitable for all ages. Parents are encourged to bring their children. This is a MUST SEE event! We'll see you threre!
